Any reason why text Dunc ? I have the GSM receiver set up with the webasto timer ...you can text it instructions for set-up but the actual instruction for the FBH to fire is done via two ring's on a PAYG sim ...so no charges. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

i have a TEXT GSM in the D3 - it has two input channels so can control FBH and heated screen. Also texts back to confirm message has been received etc and can also be used to check output status and texts to tell me when the battery has been reconnected after a disconnection.
a ringring gsm receiver would be ok aswell though. I am assuming the connections are the same, but wondering if its that easy in the D4, with the ParkHeater Option Duncan

Sorry for hijacking Dunc
DG - can these devices be locked so that they only accept incoming calls (and therefore get activated) from certain tel numbers? 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

Dunc - I (well Slimer & I ) have only used text for set up purposes ...not for sending output instructions. What model is your receiver?
Paul - I'll have to read the instructions 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

you can set mine to accept 1-64 different telephone numbers, it's called the White list. Really easy to set I have mine so it will accept my mobile or house phone number. Club Exped trailer

I have the same one as you Dunc only advantage over the ring-ring one is that you can connect the two on board contacts to send you a text when something happens like the alarm going off or something? (which I haven't got around to as yet) and theeeeennn......???
