Hello all,
I've just joined the forum as a prospective Disco4 buyer, and I'll be seeking advice from the collective while searching for my new (well, used) disco.
Cheers,

Im new here, Hello! My D4 MY2010 HSE
Hello to one and all,
My name is Stuart, my family and I moved up from Bristol to the Cotswolds (Stroud area) 9 months ago. Although Im not a farmer, living in the Cotswolds gives me a free pass to the Land Rover Owners Club, am I right?
So I gone and bought my first LR, a Disco 4 HSE in Lugano Teal. I offered SWMBO her choice of Merc SUV, but she said I deserved a better car first. Shes a keeper, and the Mrs is too.
I had her a month, bought with 68k on the clock and 7y3m old... cambelts and a service due. That just been done at the local Landi Indy Specialist.
So far so good. Wish she do better than 30 mpg though!
Look forward to getting to know you and hopefully meeting up locally and further a field (pun intended).
Warm regards, Stuart
PS : Ive got the Disco4.Com sticker on order.

Just picked up my new to me 56 plate D3 today, loads of documented service history but no evidence of belt or oil pump being done. Supplying sales deal was they paid for timing belt, after reading posts here and advice from other local owners I paid for the pump to be changed. £150 odd for parts and £72 for labour, oil pump kit from AF factors, thanks Paul & Ian,
Regards
Martin

Hello,
Just replaced my '14 plate XS with a '16 Plate Landmark. Same car but different, seems quicker off the mark and doesn't roll as much on roundabouts, or is that me being more circumspect with a new car!
Must try and keep this one cleaner than the last one, but in the Cotswolds a dirty Disco is acceptable!

Hi,
Brought myself a 2005 D3 about a month ago, All good so far apart from the horrific Electronic Parking Brake failure within an hour of taking ownership! Thankfully had a good dealer and all sorted. Just getting used to the quirks of owning one.
Previously had a Td5 Defender 110. Had to sell as small child on the horizon - and that horizon is approaching fast!!!!
What would everyone suggest the top jobs to do would be as a newbie to the D3 world? Top of the list is a decent set of AT's, Not scared to take her green-laning, and a de EGR, maybe a re-map - Had my Octavia Rs done and what a difference!

my disco 4
Hi All,
I bought my 61 plate HSE a couple of weeks ago to replace a Navara which had served us well for 3 years, but I always hankered a Discovery which would tow our twin wheel Sterling Searcher caravan and also accommodate 4 dogs. And we were not disappointed as we spent last week down on the gorgeous Dorset coast, everything I had read about the Disco's towing reputation was spot on, however I discovered that the comments read on this site about the MPG read out are very optimistic, still better than the Navara though. That's all for now although I do have a few queries which I may post later.
Thanks Russ WL

Hello
Hi my name is Adam
I do some laser cut parts for land rovers.
I make a stainless steel switch plate, also make a stainless steel switch blanking plate.
I also make a set of roof rack support brackets.

Hi Guys.
I'm just about to purchase my 1st discovery after having been a shogun lover for many years. My hubby is owned by a RR V8 but the least said about that the better
I've fallen in love with this Disco 3 but I'm also a little scared to let go of my beloved old girl (2.8 shogun 98).
My first question is how on earth to I find out what model she is? She only has 5 seats so does that make her a base model but she had air suspension & I've read that they had coil springs.
Thanks in advance for your knowledgeable advice x

Hey everyone!
Just got a '06 Discovery 3 a few weeks ago, replacing a falling to bits Kia Sorento.
Vehicle was a bit older than I was really looking at with more miles, but it seemed a solid car for towing our caravan around, so took the plunge.
I've already had the X, Y, Z park brake sensor fail, which thanks to a post I found fixed myself in a about 20 minutes, but other than that, it's been good.
Had a fixed tow bar installed, and give the caravan tow a good test last weekend, looking forward to the France tow already in a few months..

Hello All
Good Morning All,
Ben and Maz here from the sunny welsh borders. Currently have a works Ford Ranger and a TD5 Defender that SWMBO drives and enjoys. But the time has come after lurking in the background to purchase a Disco 4. So the Defender is having a spring clean and polish and being put up for sale and the hunt begins for an early Disco 4 to tow the horse box, camping trailer and for the tribe of 3 labradindongs!!
