Hi All,
Been a bit of a Lurker, so thought I would say Hi!
Been a Defender owner for some time, but had my '57 Puma nicked off the drive recently, and the imbeciles towed it away whilst in gear and managed to seize the engine - result being a insurance write off. Not happy.
Anyway, decided not to get another Defender - it seems that no where in the country is safe from the thieving gits, and I would have one eye out of the window every time a cat farted.
Wanted to stay in the LR stable though, so now the proud owner of a MY13 D4 HSE. Bit of a change in comfort level!

Hello
New in here but not to LR's
Sort of came up the ranks with Disco 1's, Disco 2's & my current Disco 3
I have benefitted with the fixes & guides that are way beyond what dealers provide - product support.
Many thanks to those who take the time to do this.
My Disco 3 works hard for its life, but is in good nick.
At the point of wondering where next ? & that's what's brought me in closer.
A bit confused as to which forum or parts of the forums is best to help me make an informed decision about a Disco 4 or I empty the coffers & order a Disco 5, there seems to be a big crossover point.
My site name is a tribute to my late Dad who enthused about Bullova watches...leaving me a Swiss clockwork one.
Thanks!

Hello ,
This looks a wonderful site, I am picking up my D4 next week its on a 2015 plate and is se tech, only 5k in terms of miles. Dealer is putting LR two year warranty on it. The car looks fab and this is my first Disco, had BMW X5. Is there anything I should particularly look out for on the D4
, obviously low miles but it is 18 months old. I am really quite excited about getting it and have been looking for a while, I thought the prices would fall more than they have with the new one being launched but the d4 seem to be holding the money very well.

Hi all, just picked up our 2005 disco 3. Hopefully she'll be a good one. We had a P38 years ago which we loved, then we moved away from land rovers but am glad to say we're back

Hello,
Purchased a D3 07 today to replace my D2. Should have it in a couple of weeks so will be reading up what I need to keep an eye on! Really going to miss my D2 when it goes as been great & the D2BC has been a valuable resource. This place looks to be the best place for a D3 new owner

Thanks! I can't stop driving it.
Seems to have a couple of issues like the CD player doesn't play all of a CD.. and the air con isn't the coldest but all said and done it's a lovely driving motor.

As it's an 07, may I suggest that you clarify whether it has the later type oil pump. May involve some expense now rather than a blown engine later. Don't wish to be alarmist. Look at any of the threads on this forum relating to oil pump and you'll get the picture.
I too have an 07 D3 and I love it, but I have invested in an number of preventative measures including the oil pump and new belts. Whatever you do, don't change the belts without changing the pump!!
