Hey all! I am from the US, I have a 2006 LR3 V6 and love it. I look forward to learning from the technical aspect of the forums. I try to do most services and repairs myself.

Hello,
I'm looking to change from our current 110 defender to a D3, apparently it might be more reliable (says the the boss). It looks like a sensible choice to me, plenty of space, 7 seats and the option of getting lots of stuff on a roof rack and it'll undoubtedly be a lot more comfy to go long distances in. I'm here to get as much info as I can and hopefully avoid any pitfalls.

Hi, I have just bought a disco3 se and have been trying to connect my android to the cars Bluetooth with no luck. I read a blog saying that just because it's in the manual doesnt mean it's fitted.so im in the market for decent hands free kit. Also I have a warning light comes on telling me that there is a suspension fault.but it drives very well.any advice would be much appreciated...nicrob

Hi all,
I hope I've got this post in the right bit.
I've joined the forum to do some research as we're looking at buying a 2005 D3.
My only other Land Rover was a 67 Series IIA a good few years ago.
Thanks.

Currently a defender owner and previously a Freelander 2 owner and now on the lookout for a Disco 4. Just need to sell the defender and then ready to start the hunt.

G'day from New Zealand.
Been without a Disco for a short while. Loved my old series 1, but retired it a couple of years ago have racked up about 270,000km tripping around the country, often off-road. I'm a landscape and nature photographer and difficult terrain comes with the turf. Or, actually, is the turf.
Currently comparing a D3 2007 with only 80kms versus a D4 2010 with 200 on the clock, and interested in any views and advice for and against.
Also looking at a Land Cruiser Prado 2009 with 110kms, but perhaps unreasonable to be asking about that compared to Discos in this forum

My Disco has the 'privacy glass to B post' option listed in the spec, and it does have very dark windows from the b post back (can't see in from the outside.) Is this the factory tint, or would a previous owner have added further tinting?
Its a bit too dark for my tastes, so was going to remove it.

Hi, purchased a lovely Buckingham Blue 2008 D3 HSE , upgrades fitted by myself so far, supercharged front grill, half mirror covers , Black silver wheel centers. Nav screen RR mode mod, Reverse Camera. Tow bar & dedicated electrics (Tow Sure) & D4 rear lights fitted by myself . Most of the work done with the help of write-ups on here. Great forum (site) glad to be a member. Hopefully i will fit in . PS i love tinkering around with anything that's broken. The sense of achievement when you fix it yourself , nowt better.

Hi , just want to say hello after purchasing my discovery3 commercial xs manual in grey just 3 weeks ago after moving up from a td4 freelander. Only wish I had done it sooner as this is by far one of the nicest & most practical vehiclle I have driven. Mainly going to get used for lugging our caravan and dogs around and occasional towing of the wife's horse trailer. It just makes every job so easy compared to the freelander, fantastic car, big thank you to all the info gained from reading previous posts before purchase as it was a huge help. Cheers Andy .
