HDC Error | Special Programs Off | No Speedo - Suggestions? |
|
Hi
Wife borrowed car, although I don't think that really has anything to do with it - just bad timing!
Anyway, she was driving up a long(ish), steep(ish) hill, but main road, so nothing extreme. Suddenly lots of lights etc - leading to:
HDC error.
Special programs off.
Speedo is dead.
Suspension lowered.
She'd driven through a ford 20 minutes earlier (about 45cm deep - and one we go through very regularly), but otherwise, nothing special.
Tried turning on and off - with no effect.
Disconnected the battery for 5 minutes and re-connected - again, no effect.
Any suggestions / diagnosis gratefully received.
Thanks D4 XS MY12 Galway

Hub speed sensor, or the connections in the rear N/S behind the spare wheel. Mine did this after a Salisbury event, stuck between access height and Road Height, no speedo, and HDC/ABS light.
Hub sensor replaced and all was well

Wow - 4 minutes for a reply! Fantastic!
Any idea how much the part is? Is there only one, or could it be one of x? Is it an easy job?
Many thanks. D4 XS MY12 Galway

I had this around Christmas time, mine ended up being some cable connections that had corroded behind the nearside front wheel

Not sure of the price, mine was Warrenty.
With this fault, it is worth while getting it diagnosed with someone with the OBD, as it can really be the wiring or sensors on any of the 4 corners

had the same thing happen hdc fault transmission fault suspension now lowering, and it turned out to be a brake light sensor and rear wheel sensors replaced under warranty. I use lift rods to get off the trail.
