MET Office admit they cannot forecast !! |
|
Well as a fitting end to this 34 page thread
http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic42668.html?highlight=snow
the MET Office are finally now admitting that they cannot forecast!!
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/5/20100305/tuk-un...dbed5.html
So if you want a long range forecast, ask me, I'll ask my wife and she'll get it from the amatuer forecaster in her work.
You know, the one how predicted all this severe winter weather when the MET Office were saying we were in for a mild one.

A chap in my wifes work is an amatuer weather forecaster.
He says that if patterns continue, the UK is in for one of its heaviest snowfalls in recent years !!
Timescale - around 10 days time

The amazing thing is that over the last five years have they awarded themselves bonuses of over £12 million and the Chief Exec of the Met office is on more than the Prime Minister

Anyway, I'm very keen to hear more from this chap at your wifes work. How does his think the next few months will pan out?

I'm expecting next winter to be worse than this. Depends on the solar wind which hopefully might save the day and pick up a bit. On the other hand the weekening El Nino might be replaced with a La Nina cooling things down even more. There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song
