Just noticed this: after parking in my garage and shutting down the engine came into my mind that I forgot to select "access height". (Kids prefer to climb into the car when it's in the lowermost position). Although was sure that it won't do any good, flicked the ground clearance selector - and voilá, D3 lowered (key was still in ignition). it's a feature, lowering to access is available for up to 40 seconds after ignition off..... it says in my user manual

And I think you can programme the Land Rover button on the key to do the same - but of course, the children wouldn't be in a locked car.
Of interest, what have other users programmed ('programed' in certain other countries) the LR button to do?
Mine turns on the Follow Me lights so that when parked in a darker spot at least I can get to the gate lock with lighting. Then I turn them off with the same button.

I use my land rover button to change the heigt of the vehicle. It comes in handy when I park the car in my garage and open the trunk. Using the remote control I can raise the vehicle so that it almost hits the ceiling of the garage...

I have used the Land Rover button for lowering and raising the car (when working with a trailer). But I understood that that only worked when the hazard warning lights are flashing, which makes it rather impractical for everyday getting in and out of the car. Am I right there?

Eric - whilst I haven't used the personal button for lowering or raising the car, I did note the following in a manual:

Programming the personal button to operate the air suspension must take place within 60 seconds of turning the ignition off. The air suspension switch position is relayed to the CJB on the CAN systems, which power down 60 seconds after the ignition is switched off.
I did not see any reference to a need for hazard lights being used at the same time.
CJB = Central Junction Box.

I've had a look at my own handbook now and it does say (on page 29):
...turn on the hazard warning lamps... (as well as removing the starter key and closing all doors).
