Discovery 3 - Ifor Williams Trailer with new LED Lights
Hi
Require help once again: Do anyone know (Martin might know this one) - I have just purchased a Ifor Williams trailer and collected it yesterday - it has on it LED rear lights top and bottom.
The problem I have is the 3 units (Brakes / Indicators / Fog) - when I connect it to the car every thing works ok, except the Indicators pulse very dimmley.
When the idicators are activated via the normal turn stalk in car they work normally - not a problem.
Its only when the cars running and attached to the trailer via the socket.
Question is how to stop then faintly flashing/pulsing on every sec - its only the indicators.
I have checked all the wiring and its fine - with no shorts and very good earth.
You need to fit a shunt box to fool the D3 into thinking it has ordinary bulbs fitted. Have a search, plenty of previous discussion about it on the forum.

D3 and LED trailer lights
Hi all,
Just purchased a new trailer with LED lights all round to go behind the D3. We informed the trailer manufacturer that the trailer would be pulled by a D3 so it had to be compatible (I remember reading previously about indicators pulsating etc..).
The trailer company has fitted a load device to the trailer and I was under the impression that this was all that would be required.
However, the indicator lights still pulsate slightly without any lights or indicators on.
Does anyone know if I also have to have this shunt box fitted in addition to the load device that is already wired into the trailer?
If so, is there anywhere in the UK that sells them or is it only available from Australia?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks
