My service indicator started to work, of course not in the fashion it is described in the Manual.
It has a clock symbol and the day until service when I switch on the car, the day is counting down (Saturday was 29, this morning 27). This should be correct as I had my last annual service last year mid September, and the milage is less than 15K miles between services.

After being told by LR Cust serv that service indicator does not work in Australian vehicles, suddenly the other day i am getting "service 30" when ignition turned on, it seems to be counting down each day so assume no of days to service. H'book says you see kms/miles or can be changed to date.

My service indicator came on a couple of days ago (now on 28) and it is correct as the D3 will be a year old when it gets to zero - now to find out the best service price - my dealers offering both the 15K and 30K service for £600 (£980 including 45K) if I pay in full at the time of the first service.
