Stratstone Bury Lancashire |
|
Just like to praise Stratstone in Bury.
I purchased a new car last Saturday and while happy with the car , wasn't with the paint.Found a few scratches on it on PDI.
Anyway it was booked in for this morning to have the scratches sorted out .Hour and a half later my car was returned looking like it should of been.
The whole process at Stratstone's has been excellent and a good deal on the car aswell.
Big thank you to Dennis who has been great through the whole process(hi Dennis if your reading this)
Would deffinatly recommend to anybody who lives in the area ..or even if you don't ..its worth the visit.
Oh and one last thing ..got some mats the other day and broke one of the clips. While i was there i asked in parts if i could buy another and they gave me a few for free...Thanks G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Hi Adrian
I just wanted to take the time to thank you for your post.
I have been an avid reader of this forum and the RR Sport forum for some months now and it is always good to see positive threads.. especially when it is our dealership.
I hope you enjoy many smiles of motoring in your new Discovery
Kind regards

Good to hear that some Stratstone dealers are good. One in South Wales (mention no names) is the worst dealer I have ever dealt with. Glad to hear that it's just individual sites rather than the company as a whole.

Nice to see a dealer stick his head above the parapet! Good service deserves to be spoken about as much as poor. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Wholeheartedly agree with that statement Paul 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Just stay clear of their service costs until they get in the real world.Recieved a courtesy call from my supplying dealer stratstone lye stourbridge for first service reminder when can we book you in sir er how much is the service first well i could have a choice between a £450 and £550 service after laughing i explained i live in cheshire and would find a dealer closer to me.Working in bury i rang stratstone thinking they would be cheaper no exactly the same price how anyone gets there vehicle there is beyond me.Rang williams manchester quoted just on £200,guy salmon knutsford(who is my nearest dealer) matched the price so booked it in there.Did ring sratstone back to see what they could do wouln't even try to match price my advice spend 5 mins ringing around to see how much you can save.It only cost me £160 a year to service a X5 diesel over 3 years and 36k so stratstone get real and all disco3 owners don't be niave stay well clear. Hi cayman6
Thank you for your valued feedback
I have spoken with our Dealer Principal. The figures you have been quoted somehow do not seem right (assuming this is purely for a first service).
Obviously, we are very keen to retain your custom within Stratstone and we will match the price you quoted.
Please feel free to give me a call and we will arrange a convenient time to book your car vehicle in or to arrange collection and delivery.
Many thanks

Hi Mike,
It's good to see you are personally invloved in your customers concerns, no other dealer has even bothered to post a reply to anything on this website (or rrsport.co.uk) to any thread.
It is especially good to see that even as the Sales Manager, you are willing to look into your service department pricing.
Keep up the good work chap and no doubt I will see you when my car is due for a change.
Cheers. Badger

Hi Mike,
Well after trading in my D3 for a Freelander around Nov last year I clearly was promised 1/2 day off roading at Bala of Chris (big guy) and after numerous promices and even up to the day of myself and my wife booking into Palle Hall or however you spell it, He let us down,Also he knew we were very interested in buying a new Freelander when they came out, has he called to see if were still interested No,I am left wondering why are we a problem.
Well I am still interested in a new Freelander for my wife and I am saving for myself another D3 maybee you can ask Chris to give me a call and pick-up were he left off or just send an explanation why he dropped us. Or maybee it's because i wanted a valuation of what we would get for the Freelander after a year against a New Freelander.
pm me and i will give you my number.
Thanks Peter.

I think they should post them for all to see, if the dealers are doing their job to a decent standard then there won't be any
Name and shame them if that's what it takes to get results! The End
