Water & Dust coming in D3 under the rear seats
I have one of the last MY09 TDV6 D3's in the base S model. On my first trip in the Australian outback I got quite a bit of dust in the car - not through the door seals, but under the rear seats.
Then just before new year, I went through water, and water came in under the rear seats. So, I pulled out the rear seatsand lifted the carpet. Besides the threaded holes for the seats, there are 10 similar sized holes. It looks like the dust and water come through them as the only thing stopping ingress is the carpet and padding.
Does anyone know what was supposed to be in the holes? Plugs or silicon?
Anyone else had this problem?
Is your D3 a 5 or 7 seater, or to put it another way by rear seats do you mean 2nd or 3rd row?
Got any photos of the holes? The End

It's the base "S" model with just the 2 rows of seats (5 in total).
Thanks for the help uploading photos!
The threaded holes are for the seat feet bolts and the unthreaded ones let the water & dust in under the carpet.

Sounds like the holes for fitting the third row seats have not been sealed.
You could get some grommets from Clark Rubber but I would get the dealer to fix as it is not sealed properly.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

All fixed now.
The LR dealer replaced the floor covering under warranty and plugged up the holes.
Apparently they are jig holes that wer not plugged up at time of assembly.
Hopefully, that's the end of it.
