Tow electrics cover up.....

Got my 'plug in' towball fitted so the plastic cover is off the car leaving all the electrics exposed.

I can see how I can cut the cover to get over the tow ball but then it's unable to be clipped into place from what I can see Question

I have seen a couple with the cover in place and the tow ball fitted so it can be done, just never had a chance to get on my knees for a shuftie.

Is it just some clever cutting away or is there a unique cover for the task?

I like the ball fitted as much as a parking defence tool as just to be ready to hitch up but think it looks like something has fallen off when alll the electrics are on view

my electrics cover fitted with the towbar in place, came off and went on easily with the bar in place. i assume it's the same for ever d3, unless the bloke who had the car before me made some alterations.

tow ball slot has its own red cover and is completely seperate.

Make sure you attach the socket cover properly, they are easy to lose on the motorway Thumbs Up

is it a standard LR tow bar or some other third party - the bumper electrics cover fits over the sockets and is no where near the towbar Confused (relativly speaking !!)

I prefer to leave the cover off; ready to go and one less thing to lose or have to bung in the boot.
Whilst the towball can act as a defensive device, be on notice that it is possible to remove that style towball without the key.
