I've used those and they are good. I think mine have the convex lens though, and I don't bother with the strap behind the glass, but they don't wobble too much.
Sturge, you need to start using the rubber security strap. I had only had my RRSport 3 days and I lost my nearside towing mirror going down the M5. (No security strap )
It is not a happy feeling when you think of the damage that could have been caused by a simple bit of laziness.Arctic Frost RR Sport. TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Tow pack, PTI, Privacy Glass, Tasmods, Mudflaps & a RRSport umbrella in the boot.

Mine is similar to the ones you are thinking about - same clamping mechanism but a larger and squarer mirror. It is very good and yes, I do use the strap too as added security.
Now that I know it works, I might get another but then again - is it really neccessary? Does anyone know what the legalities are? Must you have 2 by law or is one enough? What about "en France".Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills
I think the law says that you should have a towing mirror on the drivers side of the vehicle, so that you can see down the side of the towed vehicle.
The same would apply for France, so to be on the safe side I would suggest using two mirrors. One each side.Arctic Frost RR Sport. TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Tow pack, PTI, Privacy Glass, Tasmods, Mudflaps & a RRSport umbrella in the boot.

- I'd better start using the strap. I thought it was just for stability, never really thought about losing the whole mirror.... must find the straps...

Hi,
I don't know how you fit the strap on with those mirrors as mine is way too small to stretch.
I do tighten the screws up very tight but I don't like the way the whole door mirror casing flexes with the mirror on.
I am more worried about the door mirror casing coming off than the Milenco.
Cheers
