MY2009+ leather steering wheel

Is it just my imagination, or is the new design of leather steering wheel a lot warmer to the touch than the old when it's freezing?

I have been thinking exactly the same, that it was generaly warmer to touch than my 54 plate one, but only had mine for one day so far! Thumbs Up

I can see the headline now:

"It felt so warm to the touch. The next thing I knew a dead polar bear had burst through my sunroof" says shocked schoolrun mum.
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Snap! And with this cold spell it was really noticeable. I thought it returned the heat of your fingers immediately and therefore felt warm, unlike the old one that dragged heat out like a mortician's slab for most of the journey. I always fancied a heated wheel; not sure I'd need one now.

Does anyone have any specific cleaning tips for this kind of wheel?
I was out clearing roads and handling road salt from the bunkers recently, and now I have a definite smell of fish coming from the steering wheel Shocked It's strong enough that you can smell it as soon as the doors open.
I shudder to think what was in the bunker...but what should I use to clean the wheel? It feels so nice I don't want to spoil it by putting something on it that changes its feel.
