Bad vibes....
Well we did over 1100 km on a trip to Oslo over the last two days.
We mounted a front runner cheetah and I towed the Sankey home, about 1/3 way home I started getting vibaration's around 70 km/H, then it disappeared then came back at 60-63 Km/H.
Its a deep rumble, which shakes the vehicle, I dropped the sankey off at the lock up, and it was still there, but then it disappeared.
Any idea's

EPB binding? Had the same thing on mine, with same roofrack fitted. It's certainly not the rack. The noise seemed to come from the rear off-side on mine, and yes it seemed to resonate throughout the car.

Yep had the same two years ago on hols on france, EPB, really shook the car from time to time as if driving on cobbles whilst on the motorway.
Didnt know until back in blighty what it was, that said the offending rear drum was discoloured as a tell tale sign. Had the EPB squeal done a week or so before the trip, turns out the n/s rear shoe had been over adjusted.
Remedy, new brakes shoes on the rear axle.

Well I put it in the garage at work as some poeple suggested on the Norwegian forum it could be Ice causing the imbalance somewhere.
It was + 6 in there so I left it for a couple of hours then I also notice that one of the feet were not evenly spaced ie bracket, 2 bars brackt,2 bars bracket etc
It was bracket 2 bars bracket,4 bars then a bracket.
Must not have been paying attention at -26c and at night when mounting it.
Anyway moved the brackets to the right places and went and tightened all the bolts again (there were some which moved) and took it for a test drive.
So far so good vibrations are gone. Its -9 now so we shall see if its all right tomorrow.

If it come back, check the temp of the wheels. Had this on 3 occasions, all 3 ended up with a brake caliper being replaced. Only one to go till got full set!
