Genuine Front PDC Retrofit |
|
I have ordered the bumper kit off of TLO and seeing as it has 4 exposed openings for PDC units, i was going to get them. This is for a 54 plate Nov 2004 TDV6 S. I have had the headlamp out and the two plugs are there for the Fog lamps and Parking sensors.
Speaking to a friend and as previously mentioned, Master Tech of local LR Franchise, he reckoned that maybe another parking ECU would be required, as when they order them, they ask if it's a 4 or 8 sensor ECU.
So, for those who ahve fitted the front PDC already, what did you do, did they just plug in and work srtaight off?
Can anyone clarify if it's just a matter of plug and play with both PDC & Fog lamps or do they require to be enabled?
Thanks. ATB

As long as you have the rear PDC no additional ECU's are required, you'll have to get them enabled though... Autologic or Faultmate
Fogs will work with no software changes but you'll need to update the headlamp switch The End

If you have rear PDC and the front PDC connector behind the right-hand headlight, then it should be straight-forward.
You will, however, need to get the front PDC sensors activated for them to work.
Activation needs a CCF edit so that means Faultmate, Autologic or LR IDS at your local dealer. 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

Thanks guy's, this is what i wanted to hear.
Yes, original S spec came with rear PDC so not a problem and i'll either see Wigg's next time he's up in Jockland or i may have another avenue to get them enabled. ATB
