Memory powered drivers seat has stopped working. No drama, just nothing happens when you use the seat controls or when opening the car up. The passenger seat works fine so I've dismissed a fuse. Restarts didn't help. Any clues??? 2005 TDV6 SE Silver/Black Manual + Alpine

LR assist found that it was a fuse, theres one for each seat. However, it continued to blow when using the raise/lower switch for the drivers seat so its going in to have the seat motors & wiring checked.
Also went on the LR experience course on Saturday (using their D3) and had a great time....learnt a few controls and features I never knew existed and some maintenance tips too. Very impressed with the course and the instructor....even the wife had a go after swearing she wouldn't . 2005 TDV6 SE Silver/Black Manual + Alpine

2 days later I got the car back, the seat works. Apparently a wire was rubbing on the 'amp' under the seat causing it to short out.
While lowering it there was an immediate sickening plastic cracking sound. I found the hard plastic side panel at the base of the seat, next to the seat belt tensioner stalk, wasn't fitted properly and had snagged on the stalk. As the seat lowered it bent the plastic and damaged the tensioner stalk.....the one that was replaced a few weeks back as faulty. I managed to fix the plastic panel back but it's now warped and likely to pop out again.
The dealer explained that the technician doesn't actually test the lowering/raising of the seat, after taking it out and replacing the wiring, manually with the switch....but it is tested using a laptop .....(I'm being serious here, it's definately not April 1st).
After asking for a replacement panel the dealer asked whether I passed-by his dealership often.... ( I need a jaw dropping smilie ).
The seat has now developed a rattle too. 2005 TDV6 SE Silver/Black Manual + Alpine
