Smart key - suspension....help! |
|
I am trying to get the suspension to work using the smart key but it wont work......
This is what I am doing:
car unlocked, hazards on, all doors closed, press and hold the top two buttons on the smart key at the same time....nothing happens!
Also tried pressing the top right button (lock) and the open boot button to lower and again nothing happens!
What am I doing wrong?! Thanks

This has always seemed totally pointless to me. By the time you have done all that you might as well just start the car and raise it!

Mine seems to work for up, but not down - something I intend to ask the dealer about.
Try pressing different combos of keys as well, and make sure it's simulatneous - my is a bit sensitive to slight delays between key presses. Suzuki Vitara 3dr

Found that on my aussie spec D4 SE the buttons listed in the manual are INCORRECT - you need to press and hold the approach (headlight) button down and then press and hold the unlock button for suspension to raise OR the tailgate open button for suspension to lower. Apart from that, you need to still have the doors closed and hazard lights on. Hope that works / helps!

I tried what blue32 said and it worked. Someone else had put this on the AULRO site and said that the manual would be corrected for MY11.
When you first press the remote headlight button and hold it down, the horn will pip twice, then hold the relevant up/down button. Suzuki Vitara 3dr

Issue
10my air suspension feature does not operate with the remote handset as described in the owner's handbook.
Cause
The information contained in the owner's handbook is incorrect.
Action
The correct sequence to operate the system is.
All doors closed, hazards on.
To raise the vehicle press and hold the approach lamp button then press and hold the unlock button.
To lower the vehicle press and hold the approach lamp button then press and hold the tailgate release button.
The owner's handbook will be corrected for 11my

I have programmed my key for this suspension function also, which I agree seems useless.
Now I cannot find how to get back to having the LR button work to unlock the rear tailgate which was useful.
Not a mention of how to programme that in the Instruction Book.
Have Searched and cannot find this mentioned in the forum.
Help!
