Used my nice new BAS remap tool to check for DTC codes today, got a P0578 and P1934 logged........
a) What does DTC mean ?, and
b) What do the two logged codes mean - I googled both, think P0578 is cruise control related ?, but P1934 not listed anywhere.
Thanks,
Jim Jim

p0578 = Cruise Control Multi-Function Input A Circuit Stuck
p1934 = vehicle speed signal
Now the real trick is working out what they really mean...and what needs to be done about them. The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

Hmmm, I'd only got the ignition on, engine was not running - does this explain the p1934 'vehicle speed signal' code ?
I cleared the codes, then did the remap........and promptly forgot to check if the codes came back
I'll have a look-see tomorrow and see if the codes have returned. Jim

P0578 possible cause:
* speed control multi function input A circuit high resistance
* speed control multi function input A circuit short circuit to ground
* speed control multi function input A circuit short circuit to power
* speed control switch stuck
action: Refer to the electrical guides and check the cruise control circuit between the ECM and switch.
Check the switch operation and renew as necessary.
P1943 possible cause:
* Vehicle speed invalid signal received over CAN
action: Check for ABS and TCM DTCs and rectify as necessary. Refer to the relevant workshop section.
Refer to the Network Communication section in the workshop manual.
Hope that helps a little.
Cheers,

I've got a feeling that the rotary coupler on the steering column is a bit fubar'd as the ICE and phone controls intermittantly play silly whatsits - the stealer did a 'software update' at the last service........but it made jack-all difference - so perhaps this is the cause of the P0578 DTC ? Jim
