Thought I would post my first 1000 mile report on my D4
CABIN
I think the panel above the pedals/under the steering wheel takes up more room in the D4 than the D3 (It just does okay). If I get my seat perfectly positioned, I bang my knee on that panel when I get in.
Radiogram
The D3 radiogram was good, but the D4 Harmon Kardon has way better valves in it. Just driven back from Devon to Derbyshire & I think I am now officially deaf.
Ipod/Iphone integration could be better IMHO. Being able to select album/artist by letter would be useful
DAB
Lack of knowing what the the radiogram is doing when in any other screen than 'Audio/Video' is an inconvenience. Shame basic info is not shared with the dash TFT
RIDE/HANDLING
Oh it's better & quieter nuff said.
Actually today it was very comfortable. So I thought I would try it for a quick kip. yup passes the 'knackered' test
Seats are very comfey. The lumbar support actually supports ! The bolster adjustment is a waste on my lardy frame, but when SWMBO has made me thin, I will report further
OTHER
The mirrors folding in when locked is much appreciated. I always get a certain distance from the car when i think "did I lock it ?" . I no longer have to walk back.
Mirrors in = locked
Miirrors out =
I'm sure many want more technical info, torque etc. Wot's that in Old Money
