Another year...another Durler event. NJF and me went up for the road book (green laning) today.
Its a fantastic event in the Berg Reuland area which is where Belgiun, Germany and Luxembourg meet in one little corner. As you drive around the forest tracks (especially opened up once per year just for this weekend) the SatNav constantly switches between countries. On one hilly track you go from Belgium to Germany to Luxembourg back to Belgium in the about 300 meters...
A great drive. And you need a good 6 hours to do the whole road book.
A few pictures...
NJF leading our group of 4 (yes...the D1 really did drag a Sankey around all day... )
A taste of some of the tracks...
A Landy traffic jam...
The view from our lunch stop...
A very deep, muddy section (a sump) that got the better of the D1...
A great day...
The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...
