Hello a newbie with a problem |
|
hi folk im newbie
i personally own a scooby impreza turbo i love it but ive always been a fan of LR3 when i can afford one ill have one.
anyways im writing this on behalf of my mum she has an odd problem
everynow and then she has a "suspention fault" "HDC off" "special programmes off" "suspention lowering"
now the suspention light comes on along with 2 other lights i cant quite remember.
its odd because if u stop the car lock it then turn it on again it goes back to normall and all is well till next time.
Land Rover have been excellent tbf and even thought its out of warrenty have had it in and cant trace it yet.
hope u guys can shed some light on it?

There lies the problem... Possibly... Try changing the brake light bulbs... faults with the bulbs have been known to cause the problems you have mentioned. As you slide down the banister of life
may no splinters point your way

Sounds like a weak battery, do a search on the forum and see if your fault sounds the same. Now driving BMW 330d Touring....misses D3...but not when at traffic lights

Assume it's not showing any fault codes if LR can't trace....seems strange.
Could be faulty height sensor or, if tracking is well out, a steering sensor Club RLD spare wheel protection
Club RLD skid plate
Club its all black
Club D3 - it's gone
Club D4 - just arrived and still all black

I had the same list of faults a while back, dealer found that the battery needed charging, they charged the battery and everything was fine for a couple of weeks but then the problems started again. Was then told that the battery had a faulty cell and needed to be replaced. This was done under warranty and since then the fault has not reoccurred 1996 Discovery 1 300TDI ES Biarritz Blue, sold

well recently it did go into a specialist near us, and they told us that the alternator was overcharging.
land rover then said this was not true and replaced a lead on the battery itself but found the alternator and battery were both fine.
