Bit of good news Watlings will give us a discount of 10% on the front tow bars with a minimum of 5 orders, if you are interested can you add your name to the list.
I would ask that when we have the minimum number required that you contact Watlings yourself to make payment and organise delivery. I will let them know the names of interested parties.
The standard D3/D4 front towbar PRO19DT is £174
There is NO cut required to the bumper
The Heavy Duty D3/D4 front towbar is £300
This requires a cut to the tow loop cover plate as per the attached photos
Towball and cover £12
Carriage to most UK mainland £12

Difference between standard and heavy duty
Standard = load/Kg capacity is set at the same as the standard rear towbar for the vehicle. eg 3200kg trailer / 100kg noseweight

Thanks for organising this. I'm going to try one with a view to fitting a removable winch cradle to it.
What's peoples thoughts on the winch loadings, dragging a D4 from mud, would I be better with the heavy duty version?
For those of us that off-road occasionally, or a lot, I appreciate the fixed receiver is a bit of a restriction to the approach angle but in my experience everything is a compromise!
Cheers, Danny

Hi.
From the Watling website I've discovered a few points:
The HD version protrudes from the centre of the vehicle whereas the std version is offset to the left.
The HD version is suitable for use as a winch mounting upto 9,500lbs.
Hope this is of help to someone. Cheers, Danny

The standard bar does indeed have the receiver to the left, however you can have also have a centre receiver if required that Watling can supply
