A Day in the life a special discovery 3
I slip on my yellow and green jacket and get into the drivers seat, I place the key into the ignition and turn, the engine roars with that deep growl . I quickly enter some details onto the sat nav and a few seconds later a voice is telling me to make a u turn. I slip the automatic gear lever into drive and then in trepadation slip it to the left into sports mode. I then switch a few extra special buttons by the gear lever that have been added after the car was made and in the grill a burst of blue flashing strobes kick in ,on the roof a pair of rotating blue halogens start to turn and in the rear window two pairs of white leds turn bright blue and start to flash on and off and the main beams gently flicker from left to right in a peaceful rytham. As I gently place my right foot on to the pedal we start to move off. As I gather speed the road ahead is clear. As I approach the roundabout I press the horn button on the steering wheel but instead of the usual beep a 100 watt wailer starts to scream at the cars ahead of me. I take the first exit and head towards the slip road of the motorway, my speed is now increasing , my adrelanin is pumping , 40 , 50 , 70, 90, 110 mph ,the cars ahead all pulling over to kindly let me proceed down the out side lane now touching 120 and my girl is steady as a rock. The headlights alternating into rear mirrors of the cars ahead tell everyone I am coming. the siren singing my song nee naa . Aproching the next exit and slip of the motorway the wailers now drowning our my pavarotti on my CD. A few minutes later I arrive at my destitation (the Chippy) no joking it was really a heart attack victim. Treated the poor old man with cardiac drugs and an ambulance arrives 5 minutes later to take him away. He lives. I get back into my Land Rover switch off all those buttons and the car changes back into a normal car again. I LOVE MY JOB and I LOVE MY CAR. I have been suffering with this disease called permagrin, I have asked the doctors at the A/E for a cure and they said the only way was to dump the car. I have accepted that I must accept the pain of the permagrin its a small price to pay.
Oh here comes another radio message , those switches on again and the car is transformed again. I have to do this for 12 hours a day what a grind Landrover Discovery 3 TDV6 S 7 seat Automatic

Not in the Biblical sense - more importantly the Disco !!! 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
I'm not saying the D3's a dog of a car but the mobile dog washing van in the background of lancsamb pics might be telling us something! Loving the power of the TDV8!
