Help required please
I would like to remove the plates on top of the rack, so that it makes the cleaning of the D3 easier, but i still want to reattach and use the plates as and when they are needed.
Having undone the eye nuts from one side the plate seemed reluctant to want to move, so without force i gave up!!
Along the edge of the other plate some of the bolts have rusted, and are freely turning, these will need to be cut off. Can i re purchased replacement ones in stainless steel.

You are talking about the G4 alloy flooring right ?
The holes that you see, and that have the tiedowns on them along the outer edges are replicated along the centre side of each floor panel too. If you carefully "feel" the anti-slip tape you will feel the holes. Either cut round or peal the edges up, if you cut around - you may be able to get a grommet to plug the gap afterwards.
Once you've exposed the hole - you can get a socket in to get to the shorter hidden nut and bolts "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

Just a thought!
Would it not be simpler to take the whole rack off. With the help of a mate i can take mine off and back on in less than half an hour.
