rear parking sensors - missing switch |
|
my 09 model has rear parking sensors, but no switch on the dash to turn them off. As I've fitted towing electrics, I know I dont need them "enabled" to work (thanks to TFC), but how do I stop the sensors from going mad when backing up with the caravan on the back.

The rear sensors should be disabled automatically if you have tow electrics plugged in I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

The switch went from MY08 onwards. annoying when reversing off road or if you have a bike tack fitted and not plugged into the electrics.
I believe they should disable if you have your tow bar electrics enabled correctly and use the correct connections from the caravan, trailer etc.

The electrics will work without being enabled, what won't work is the integration with vehicle systems such as air suspension and parking sensors, they really need to be enabled if you want to keep your sanity I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

Of course, you could always just locate the fuse for when towing I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.
