Help! Grantham area people

Hi All,

I've been following the forum after joining a month or so ago (and I have posted, I'm not just a taker!) as I want a Disco 3 and have found one 3 hrs away in Grantham and wondered if anyone can go and look at it for us? We have a 9 week old baby and don't really want to do the journey if the car's pants.

Will pay a site donation and also something to the person for their time...

Otherwise - is it worth getting an RAC/AA check? Any recommendations

No, unfortunately not - it's a trade but the trade in this case is a chap who deals from home and has a number of 4x4's so in my mind it's like a private sale and hence I want it checked and will also buy the Tesco warranty for it.

I don't think I would want to buy something on this sort of monetary scale that I hadn't seen myself TBH. For the money a formal AA \RAC inspection would be the way forward regardless Wink 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Hmmm - something doesn't seem right about this car. The chap selling said it had had certain brake work done at Sturgess Leicester yesterday so I phoned them to see what they thought of the car and the work they actually did was different (not as much) as he had said.

It's an 05 SE 56k on at £13k.

Too good to be true? Starting to think so...

Its about £4K under valued too IMO.

I would run a HPI check on it first off, and if that comes clean then I would pay for an AA/ RAC inspection too - if you don't have to be there for it to be done.

I'm only 20 minutes from Grantham but I am going away for two weeks from tomorrow, but as others have said - you really need to see it yourself as my idea of condition could be a lot different from yours.
