Can we confirm that if no oil is present in the servo, vacuum pump or anywhere it shouldn't be, then all the recall states as action is to replace the brake booster vacuum line with the upgraded part? Not too clear reading the notice...
This is what the local LR dealer did on mine as there was no oil anywhere apparently

I find this strange as according to the bulletin all vehicles in the range LA367110 – LA513325 need to have it done and my VIN ends 4901XX. That certainly seems to be in the range.
After calling LR CS today it seems the job was done at Stratstones in Edinburgh after the car was recovered following a height sensor failure. They never mentioned it to me when I collected it. LR CS say it is policy to do all recalls as soon as the car is in a LR dealer.

Hi, I live in Thailand and my car VIN was not in the range (LA3275xx) I call dealer to ask about recall as my Disco got the lost vacumm assist. I open up the plastic cover to check for oil and YES!! i found an oil in vacumm hose. the issue is Dealer refuse to claim as not in recall range. What should I do? Does anyone ever had chance with LR like my case?

Just had this very issue with intermitant massive brake fade on my '55' reg!
Took it into the dealers yesterday, said that i had done some research (good old D3.co.uk! )and knew there was a recall but mine was out of range.. and they first replaced the master cylinder, kept it over night for one of their Tech guys to take it home to 'make sure' it was ok, which is wasn't, so replace the brake servo today.
Got a phone call to say ot was all done and got told that they had contacted land Rover and despite mine being out of the range of the recall, they replaced it all under the recall work!!
Very happy!! especially as my D3's got 103K on the clock and is 4 years old!!
So, if anyone else has same problem, definatly push for it being done under the recall work! You only live once, but if you work it right, once is enough.

Just a reminder that if this happens and you can think quickly enough, pulling on the EPB switch (handbrake) will stop the D3 safely using the ABS system, even if there is no servo assistance at all.

Hi All -- my 07 disco 3 in at stealers on Tuesday last for recall. Pipe replaced and new servo fitted.
Before going in brakes were fine, pedal positive (as its been from new). When driving home I noticed pedal was 'spongey' and if pumped became hard..... but when stationary pedal can be pushed virtually to floor! Also pedal now returns very slowly when released.
Called stealer who collected yesterday & later returned it with a 'no problems - everything's OK'
I tried it out and complained like hell as it was exactly the same as before!
They collected it again today & say they've fitted a new master cylinder.... but guess what? ..... no improvement whatsoever. Stealer says nothing more they can do & its exactly the same pedal feel & floor travel as on 2 new Discos which they tried.
Any body got any suggestions please?

Only just received the letter from LR this week. With SAFETY RECALL printed in red on the outside of the envelope. We had to quote "Recall Programme P017" when making the appointment at the dealers.
So this is not a new recall then, or is it?
Anyone know?
Cheers,

I received my letter today, so will be booking it in soon to have it done.
Like Olly it states 05/06 models.
Nasher. Heaven doesn't want me, and hell is afraid I'll take over.

Nasher.
I received a same letter yesterday
Only trouble is after nearly having a bad accident last year I paid to have mine looked at, and paid for a new brake booster, master cylinder, revised pipework/valve, and replacement of brake fluid
Do you think I could claim the money back? Will try to phone LR today

had mine done today, 05 HSE.
They ended up changing the servo too. Not impressed with the extra pipework under the bonnet though
