For those who have or are px-ing their D3 for a D4 |
|
Hi
If possible I would like this topic to stay on topic as much as possible as the results will be very interesting: Thanks in advance.
I am in the process of negotiating a deal on a D4, I am happy with the % discount offered by the dealer on the stock car. Now, the problem comes up on the old px front. I understand the why's and wherefor's about px and dealer margins etc and I dont want this thread to go off at this tangent, but I had an issue with them being over 10% away from internet prices.
Some of us have used www.webuyanycar.com to get some prices and we have seen them rise up.
What I would like to know is do these 'internet prices' match up to any REAL deals people have got from the dealers on the D4 front?. Like I said my offer was 10% lower than WBAC and that is excluding the extra's the car has.
So people, does your px price reflect positive or negative on the www.webuyandcar.com price?. My Youtube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/NeilDisco#p/u/5/Dz4-Q95GQ2c

Ok Neil, straight off on a tangent. Regarding your internet price, have you looked at what prices sane spec cars as your are selling for on auto trader etc. Compare this to the dealer price on the sites and see if it's the same as the "dealer price" if so then the trade in price should be similar, if not then you can look at the difference and the effect it will have on your trade in value.
Have you looked it up in glasses guide? D3 HSE MY05 Auto

I guess trade ins are easier as you drive in with your old car and out in your new one, but if it's a grand or two difference then I'd suffer a day or two between cars. D3 HSE MY05 Auto

No fun answering the question. Much more fun to ignore it and skirt around it and post stuff that makes you think it's been answered. I am looking forward to seeing how quickly you post on the new laptop tomorrow! D3 HSE MY05 Auto

No one has yet answered the question posed.....
I will try n keep it OFF/ON topic for ya Neil. With regard to WBAC, I was offered initially £19900, then I think it went down to £19100, now £19300 , and have read that some have had a good sale with them, but its all in the small print TBH.
I enquired further with them, and yes you initially have to fill in the form honestly, especially the damage/condition of the interior/exterior, I fully did this knowingly mine is immaculate.
Now, to do the deal, you need to take the D3 to their London Office, if not they will come to you and charge you for it, they charge you for collection, they charge you for a Bank transfer rather than a cheque on your doorstep, they charge you for tiny blemishes that you wouldnt know are there, they even charge you for valet.
So my guessing is you are like me, would rather PX and just swap the cars on a set day, than All the hasslel

Mine says this
"Ready to sell your car? Book an appointment online now!If you've already made up your mind to sell your car, simply book an appointment to sell at your local webuyanycar.com drop-off point. Your nearest drop off point is only 4 miles away in Bolton, but feel free to book an appointment at any one of our drop-off points around the UK."
No London involved ..and there is this
Valuation is subject to inspection and contract and incorporates a contribution from the road fund licence refund. An administration fee applies on purchase of the vehicle. Based on a purchase price of £13535, a fee of £49.99 including VAT would apply. G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Adrian, take it to Bolton and see them crawl over it, mine had a mark on the roof lining, only dirt and brushed off, but still got the sharp intake of breathe saying thats gonna need sorting etc etc.
