4 Bike Carrier w/- Rear Bar & Carrier |
|
I have the Kaymar rear bar with tyre carrier and jerry can holder.
I am trying to find a bike carrier that will fit 4 bikes and that attaches to the rear spare wheel (so that i can still get rear access). Anyone come across such a thing?

Hi Tristan,
There is a local company called Gripsport in Research Vic that makes a 4 bike carrier. It fits into a 50mm hitch and supports the bikes from it's wheels and not the frame which is a must for bikes with aluminium and carbon frame and awkward frames.

There is a link in the 4 bike carrier taking you to a picture and write up on the 2 bike version loaded with the bikes - at least you can get an idea how it loads.

thanks for the comments.
I was thinking of something like this http://www.bicyclestore.com.au/Allens-Delu...21067.html.
THis one appears a bit cheap and nasty...anyone with exerience of these? Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.

Again, ever wondered why the pictures / diagrams of these tyre mount frames always use a vehicle with a centre tyre mount ?
Ok, here's a simple idea for using a Kaymar Tyre mount...
Get the fitting plate (to hold the tyre on) which also has the high lift jack bracket. You can use this bracket to grip a frame holding the bike rack bar and presto !!
Again, think wisely of the weight of your 4 bikes and how much overhang past the side of the vehicle.
