Looking for views on what my 2007 XS D3 with 21,000 on the clock is worth for insurance purpose, not really sure now with the recission and the D4 due later in the year.

Just tried to value mine - They are offering me £2500 MORE than I paid for it new 7 months ago!!!!

EDIT: Just noticed they think it is an HSE and not an XS. I've gone back and manually corrected the info. Still pleasantly surprised to see they are offering £26,000, just £3,000 less than the new price I paid in January.

However, it is all academic as I have no intention of selling. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Tell them it's worth £30K and hope that you never need to claim for a 'write off'. At the end of the day the insurance company will only pay out what they think the market value is in the event if an accident that makes the D3 uneconomical to repair (unless you have GAP insurance in which case you need to read the small print). As far as I am aware the value you put down does not affect the premium (for the same vehicle type) but someone with greater knowledge will be along shortly. Club RLD spare wheel protection
