Does any1 have SLIDING LOADSPACE FLOOR installed? |
|
After a week of using my new D3 I found it is rather hard to load/unload things into the trunk. I've been thinking of SLIDING LOADSPACE FLOOR (http://www.landroverusa.com/us/en/Vehicles...torage.htm) but dealer's price is above 1.5 US$ here.
Now I'm rethinking of that one again.
Question to those of you who has it - is it possible to access a compartment with tool kit (I am the owner of 5-doors model, so it is underneath of trunk false-floor) without disassembling this SLIDING LOADSPACE FLOOR?
Thanks in advance, Mike

I am using the slide floor. Takes one hour to install, but you have to remove the plate to get into the underlying compartment.

Thanks, frustrating news...
Do you have, by a chance, some picture of how it looks installed?
I saw just one (I provided a link in original post)...

I have one fitted but find that everything falls off it as you slide it in. If things are not placed correctly they hit the wheel arches and dislodge. Is stored in garage as a concequence!!

Hi
The only people I know who such a great piece of kit are LR Assistance, LR had it made specially for them.
I have seen it on the 4 occasions LRA have attended due to my system engine fault, it is fitted to their D3 vehs.
Hope this help someway

Installed it myself today, about 20 minutes work, plain and simple.
I should admit that sliding floor is real great for cargo transportation. That sounds a bit pathetic but it fits very well into my needs
I should acknowledge that it blocks an easy access to spare wheel and tools compartment, but it is still accessible by removing sliding floor itself (you need like 60 seconds to do that).
The easiest way out (and I will follow that one) is to order tools bag for 7-sits model and put it into the compartment at right fender. Local cost is about 95 US$...
I'll take a few picture as soon as springs comes here
