Re-wiring cooler to run off aux battery ?
Now that my Traxide kit is installed, and working (and tested on my recent trip to the Picos Mountains), I thought it about time to carry out some other mods.
Is it possible to re-wire the cubby cooler to run off the aux battery - I know it's not a brilliant fridge, but at least it keeps my sarnies cool !!

Is it relatively easy to get the fridge unit out, to get to the wiring ?

Yep
You need to pull of the gear stick , the top of the center consul and undo the cubby box lid ..all very easy ..
One torx screw next to the EPB ..rest just pulls up .
2 torx screws holding the cubby box lid (behind the rear corner covers ..they just slide off )G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
If you get stuck the fitting instructions are on the OwnerInfo site under the RRS sectionThe End

also bear in mind that the cubby box cooler is voltage dependent so unless you bypass the control circuit it'll still turn off shortly after switching the vehicle off, it has quite a current draw too.

Ah, so it won't actually make any difference whether the cooler is powered from the main or aux battery - thinking about, I should have worked that one out.....doh !
What I want to achieve is the ability for me to decide if the cooler stays on or not, and if it flattens the aux battery in the process then that's fine.
Does anyone have the spec (current draw etc) and wiring diagram for the timer/control circuit ?
Thanks,
JimJim

There isn't a wiring diag for the control circuit as it's a 'black box' unit (ie, not service repairable), the fuse is rated @ 10A so current draw will be 5 - 7.5A
