Trip Computer Accuracy
Hi all... was heading back down the coast to Brisbane today from Mackay.
North of Gin Gin the trip computer (V6 petrol) said 28k to empty. And then within seconds it counted down to zero and there you go... fuel gone. Land Rover Assist to the rescue.
Anybody else had this experience?
Cheers

This is common - once you get down to ... say ... 30 miles range it could do almost anything, so worth filling up - that said I've run for about 5 miles with the range reading zero and it was nerve wracking to say the least Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

You cannot be sure on the miles or km gives by the range. I once drove another 20 km carefully searching a petrol station at night in France after it went to 0 km. But I also run out of petrol with still 37km to go. The only luck I had was that I just crossed the road to the petrol station. I only needed a small push to get the hose in.
I know now for sure a D3 is heavy on a small incline.Roel
