Caravan

Hi - looking for some advise:
Is the Disco 3 TDV6 2.7 Auto suitable for towing a caravan?
If so are there any idea types of caravan to tow ie weight, length etc?
What type of towing bar / ball joint thing do i have to use?
Any other tips welcome.

Thanks

Is the Disco 3 TDV6 2.7 Auto suitable for towing a caravan? Yes, it is probably the best tow car out there, which is why it wins the tow car awards every year 8)

If so are there any idea types of caravan to tow ie weight, length etc? If they make it the D3 will tow it (within what's legal) Very Happy

What type of towing bar / ball joint thing do i have to use? Either the removable or the Multi Height will work fine up to 3.5T

Thumbs Up

What SJR said Thumbs Up

Have a look at lots of dealers, see if you can hire a van or two to see what layout you like (its a very personal thing) Join the Caravan Club as lots of good outfits are sold in their magazine that include all the extras you'll need such as water carriers, awnings etc.

West Ham Fan.

Some of us tow twin axles, some singles but what SJR said about trying out to see what suits best as this depends on so many things, number of beds, where you keep it, how often you use it, etc, etc. and how much you want to spend....

At the end fo the day it will always be a compramise.

And check your license. If you passed your test after 1997 you will need to take a seperate test to tow .....just a word of caution.

I bought mine for towning, much better when re-mapped. Also twin axles seem better to tow than single axle caravans.
