engine managment light
Hello all, SWMBO has been out in the car for the last 2 days on each occasion the and these are her words the orange tap light came on. ( the engine managment light came on after idleing for several minutes
Just called out lra they should be here in the next 30 mins and it is an AA man, the mondial guys should be with them next week.
2 questions
why the orange light,
and should i be worried. off on the hols towing the tin tent next week.

Don't reckon it'll be a big issue.
Remember the warning lights are trafffic light coloured.
effectively saying:-
Green - advising.
Orange - warning.
Red - danger....... always on the road less travelled 🚧

AA man been out, no fault code stored refer to dealer. next stop. will keep posted.

Booked into dealers, Service guy seems to think it may be the egr as shrinky said
Got to drop it off on saturday, explained that i needed it back for wednesday as needed for towing tin tent round cornwall.

i bet any money on e g r valves.and it will be the left bank.dont know why that one gose first.

Oddly enough, my EGR Cooler has just gone.
Guesss where that is...

With regards to why the left bank, now is that left from the front or left from the drivers position?,where is the turbo on a d3 could be the heat from the turbo ? I have a feeling i am going to need to learn fast on this vehicle.

I have had my LEFT EGR valve replaced!! Thats Left when sitting in the drivers seat!

Dropped d3 off this morning, Picked up a corser,( not a lr product but much better than the bus, all spare lr vehicles out at the moment) should have d3 back on mon eve or tuesday.

D3 is ready, apparently it was the engine managment sytem and the gearbox ecu having a bit of a non co-operation moment. see how we go.
