I have a problem . I have bought myself a Kayak and just figured it would be the case of popping into Halfords and picking up a roof rack. Problem is, I have discovered my disco does not have roof rails or the T-track system.
Am I screwed? Do I need to purchase either roof rails or a t-track system before I can fit a roof rack or is there a Thule option that can just clamp on to the door openings if you know what I mean?
As you can see, I am completely clueless when it comes to roof racks and its confusing the hell out of me!
Thanks for any help!

No need for a roofrack - that's overkill for your requirements.
Your best buying the genuine LR roof rail tracks.
Purchase a set of LR roof bars,
then the LR watercraft carrier system.
That's what's on mine.
This shot might give you an idea.
OK thanks RonP. I just wanted to avoid going down the landrover genuine parts route, its going to get expensive fast! Just phoned my dealer anyway and waiting on a price back for just the roof rails, then I might just get a cheap set of Thule cross bars.
I just figured there might be a Thule fixing kit which meant I could avoid having to purchase roof rails but it doesnt look like it.
Thanks

Always reckon your best trying to keep your Disco3 with the designated OE parts.
Give Nick a call/pm at Yeovil, as a D3 forum user you'll get a discount ....
.... and better service than any other dealer.
also keep an eye out on e-bay.
