Tent/Awning for a Discovery |
|
Hi,
Can you get a tent or some kind of awning for the discovery - I remember seeing one attached to a freelander in a LR dealership a while ago and wonder if there is something similar for the Discovery -
Thanks

LR Day Tent and connecting tunnel
VTW500020 for the tent
VTW500050 for the tunnel
No idea if these are still in production though?
Or you can buy a generic awning and fit it to the side of your expo rack I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I have a Khyam motordome, left over from a previous vehicle, I haven't tried it with the D3 yet, but its designed so that it can be left free standing on site and the vehicle driven away.
I guess it could be used with the D3 reversed into it and the boot lid open, although I'm not sure what effect leaving the boot lid open for long periods of time will have on the battery as my battery goes flat after 2-3 hours (not tried the permanent internal lights off sequence yet).

Ads, I'm guessing the breakdown is something like 1% Manufacturing, 10% Transport cos that can be expensive and the rest is profit
