Side Bars removed - are these removable as well? |
|
Hi All,
I fitted my adjustable rods today.
Yes the hardest part is getting the original ones off!
Also I removed my Genuine Chrome Side Bars, that gives an extra 50mm clearance by itself too.
But my question is after removing the Side Bars there are the small posts left.
Are these removable?
If so how? ( They do have a flat section on one side)
Thanks Rich.

Those look like the bottom of the brackets. They are removeable, you need to remove the plastic sill covers and then you can unbolt them from the sills.
Downlaod the fitting instructions from the Landrover owner info site and you'll see what I mean.
It will leave holes in your sill covers though. Too much intellectual firepower can damage your common sense.
