Lower Center console / trim dismantle (not the "H"
Hi gang
I am willing to take the central trim/central console off (need to do so this week end)
I am talking about both the flat grey plastic trim that surrounds the automatic gear lever, then the overall part that receives the Terrain response dial, hand brake lever and both cup holder
English not being my mother tongue, I am not sure how to cal this, thus look through the “search†section properly (even though I have tried with “centre console, centre trim†and so on)
Please tell me if this has been covered here (and where) or how to remove it the proper way (pdfs appreciated)
Final dismantle will be published here for everyone to know, with pics.

Another 2 questions :
How to you pull out the black Gbox trim since there is the sliding bit unabling it to come out upwards ?
can I unplug the overall grey plastic bit where TR & Parking brake lever are pluged ?
If i do can i drive with it unplugged ? (to take it all to the body shop (or should i wait to stard the car altogether ?
cheers you all !l=Oo\________/oO=l l:Ool======loO:l

I think you can drive with it unpluged I think you will just get a suspension fault untill you plug it back in.

I don't think that you'll even be able to start the D3 with the TR cable disconnected.
Give it a try and let us know what happens 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG
I started mine up with the cables disconnected. The black part comes up with the grey part and the sliding part comes up with all of that. If you mean to seperate the glack part from the grey part, I dunno.Sceen name use to be "wantsanlr3"

If you turn around the central consol, you will see the gearbox covering is held by 4 plastic hooks, you can unhook it from the central part.LR D3 S Black, Auto TDV6
