King Springs coils fitted in Melbourne?

Gday its my first post.

Just wondering if any fellow D3 owners in Melb have had the King Springs KRFR-13HD/KRRR-14hD fitted and recommend a place to go.

TIA
Jol

Ahh not enough posts to pm.

Thanks for the reply... Ill try those contacts as I've tried many other 4wd places and the fitting charges vary grately.

I prefer the job to be performed properly.

Do you have pic of the clearence the car gained and also was a 4 wheel alignment performed?

Thanks again for the reply...

Hi Jolzy,
When I had mine done (in Sydney), the initial lift was about 65mm. I expect it to have settled since then, but I haven't measured it.

A 4 wheel alignment was part of the package (& I believe, is essential).

HTH,
Peter

Hi Peter....I was thinking of raising my stock coiler up to dizzy new heights with some King Springs.

If you are happy with the job you have had on yours would you mind PM'ing the Sydney location of where you had the springs replaced?

I am out in the burbs around Ryde in Sydney.

thanks,
David

Hi David,
see here:
http://www.kingsprings.com.au/distribution_nsw.htm

I had mine done at Wholesale Suspension, Blacktown. The main guy there is ex Trivett Jaguar service and really knew his "stuff".

I kept the original springs in case I wasn't happy with the change, but there is no way that I am going back. Very Happy Very Happy

Let me know how you go,
Peter
PS: I've had other work done at ARB Northside, but I don't know if they can do 4-wheel alignment.

PPS: I did NOT get the HD versions. IIRC the STANDARD lifted springs are 30% stiffer than the oem springs.

I was quoted $220 a pair for the King Springs, which seems reasonable...but $560 for fitting and alignment Question

Wow....replaced the OEM springs with Kings last week and am a very happy camper Thumbs Up

Went with Wholesale Suspension in the end for supply and fiting and was impressed, quite professional (approx 5hr job). Had to go out to Penrith though, as the Blacktown store doesn't undertake fitting anymore.
