Ok, been looking at the family finances now that SWMBO is about to finish maternity leave and we have to start paying Nursery fees again
It looks like I might need to temporarily trade down to something a bit more sensible on the wallet for a couple of years until i can (and will) return with a D4 8)
From some preliminary research today it would seem that LR Approved used D3 SE Auto with similar mileage to mine are fetching around £21k on the LR site, and the 'we buy your car now' crowd are offering £17k. If i was to put it up for sale, what would be a realistic asking price for an 06 SE with 49500ish miles on the clock with side steps, FLRSH and MOT until April 2010. I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

I just paid 18,400 for a 55 reg SE with no external frills and 45,000 miles from an independent dealer.
(The wife tells me I have acquired a smug mien recently.)
Parkers said I should have paid 20,390 for it.
Here's what it says about yours, with no options selected::
Land Rover Discovery (04 on)
1. 2.7 TdV6 SE 5d Auto
2. 2006/06
3. Mileage: 50,000 miles
Original Price £38,535
Franchised Dealer £21,520
Independent Dealer £20,890
Private Good £19,215
Private Poor £16,415
Part Exchange £17,120
For what it's worth, they are getting to be as rare as hen's teeth now. One of my Autotrader searches was yielding 15 cars about a month ago; it now has about 6. I had to jump this weekend, as I suspect the prices will keep going up until the D4 comes along, now. Every car I called about had been sold, and the one that hadn't smelled overwhelmingly of wet dog (an S with a sticker price of 17k).
I am very happy now, though
