I have recently purchased a new TDV6, and note that the first oil change is at the first service at 15k miles.
Some questions:-
1. Do LR supply the vehicle with a special running in oil, or is it delivered filled with standard oil?
2. I am inclined to change the oil and filter well before 15k miles in the interest of removing the inevitable detritus which will have collected during the running in period. At what mileage(s) would this be best done - I am thinking about 2k miles, and again at 8-9k miles ?
3. Apart from expense is there any reason why I should not opt for more frequent oil changes than recommended? I intend to keep the vehicle for at least nine years - as I have my previous Land Rovers.
NJSS Am I Gammon or Woke ? - I neither know nor care.

There is no reason why you shouldn't change it earlier. opieoils is a site member and forum sponsor, so he'd be able to quote you happy with some appropriate oil.
Nick AKA 'The Large One' will also be able to quote you happy with a forum discount on filters as well Bodsys Brake Bible
