New member saying hello and seeking advice |
|
Hi there,
Just saying hi and introducing myself. I am currently looking into buying a Discovery 3 (Prob used, but you never know).
I received my 'brochures' from the dealer this morning in the post but unfortunately the one I really wanted was missing - there was an apology to this effect.
Its the price/option list one. I am undecided on which spec yet and was hoping to see what comes standard etc.. with each level.
Hopefully get time to trawl landrover.co.uk later but can anyone point me into and other useful places to see this info ?
I shall also be reading this entire forum later so hopefully I'll be more informed before I make my purchase.
On a very general note, any advice you'd give to someone in my position of looking to buy ??
Thanks
Mark.

Hi Mark,
The simplest way on the web to compare is here:
http://www.landrover.com/gb/en/Vehicles/Di...ptions.htm
Just for what it's worth - the SE spec is in my opinion the best value for money - although I admit that I ended up with an HSE - not just for the spec, but because I neede the vehicle in a hurry. (Forgot the end of a PCP on another vehicle!!)
I went to the dealer (J.V.Like) for the first time on Thursday the 23rd Feb, and collected the car on Friday the 3rd March... hence I took what the had in stock that was closest to my needs.
You should find answers to nearly everything here... a great forum.

Agree SE is best value and add the Xenon's too if they are not already fitted.

Cheers for the link, exactly what I wanted.
Looks like it'll be a 2.7 V6, SE (Auto) for me.

Mark,
I would add a word on dealers - it might be worth:
1) canvassing an opinion on your local dealer; and,
2) contacting a number of dealers with the required specification of what you want and seeing who can offer the best combination of price and timing (assuming you don't mind a jaunt to collect). From others' experience, it can be a way to save a few thousand pounds and/or a few months.
