Hey,
Just wondering if anyone would have any tips on how to get the sticky pad that went on with the rear ladder off. I'm gonna remove the ladder shortly as it's starting to get rusty at the top! I never scratched it or anything, it's at the weld that the rust is starting, so I want to get it off before it gets bad enough to start marking the D3.
Cheers, B. IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver

Meths, white spirit, or nail polish remover TBH. Then work it into the foam and roll the pad about to be honest. I used this method with a Plastic kitchen spatchuler, soft enough NOT to mark the paint.
Tis gonna be a labourious job TBH, but it needs to be to ensure the paint does'nt mark.
Good luck
Jason

or lighter fluid...
Use some cotton thread if you need to "cut" the ladder to boot sticky pad - might be safer than spatula..

get your wife's hairdryer, set it to warm (not too hot that you can't hold your hand under the blast) and gently warm up the sticky pad from one end and pull it away from the paintwork gently

Are there replacement sticky pads available for re-fitting?
If not, any recommendations. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
