I dunno Just really d off with pretty much everything right now. Any bright ideas to dig me out of the pit?I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
you need to go and find a short bloke to have fight with . . . .
On balance, best go with Mavs idea, when does the dog arrive "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

If you want Surrey plush, go for a Range Rover. If you want Manchester bling it's the Range Rover Sport. But if it's a seven-seat, go anywhere 4x4, it's time to Disco.

A weekend in the lakes, do some of the high fells, lifts the spirits as you climb higher, get a sense of achievement..........................until you're passed by a couple of pensioners that is.

Couldn't agree more.
Was a bit p!ssed off myself recently.
Got a last minute chance of a break in the Lakes [thanks Gareth] over Easter.
Swmbo could only stay over the weekend, but I stayed on myself.
Without the shackles of swmbo I decided to set myself a task of climbing a mountain.
Ended up doing 3 x mountains in 2 x days - Hellvellyn, St Sundays Crag & Peak Scar.
Cann't explain how exhilerating it was ... and the sense of achievement ..Wow!!
A few pics to whet the appetite.
This is the final leg of Helvellyn ... the dreaded Striding edge.
A precarious scramble along the top of this narrow ridge with severe drops down either side.
A final vertical scramble gets you to the top.
The ups and downs of feelings are from frozen fear to total exhileration when you finally make it to the summit.

The view down to Glenridding from Peak Scar.

Then at the end of each days climbing, just me and the D3 sitting outside a pub.
Beer in hand, looking at the maps & contours of where I've been and contemplating all my achievements.
Me, beer & D3 ... no swmbo to ruin the moment.

Been feeling fully charged for weeks now and cann't wait to get my next dose at the end of the month.
Would recommend to anyone to give it a go.

I spend every summer in the Lake District - took up mountain biking there last year but still haven't had a go at any mountains. Very tempting, and I've got all the gear. The cottage is ideally located too 2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7

SWMBO and I have just been for a day out in the Lakes. We needed to collect a slate nameplate for the house, we ordered it to be custom made at Honister slate mine at the top of Honister pass. Even though it down all day, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent therapy.
Glad you had a good week Ron, We are seriously thinking about permanently pitching our caravan at The Quiet Site from next year.
