I had my Disco serviced some five or six weeks ago......all ok no anomalies...the front pads needed changing (24k miles).....just recently I have noticed a squeak from the rear offside brake at 30 - 40 mph it isnt there below this & maybe cant be heard when going faster. At service the rear brake pads were OK.
It maybe isn't the handbrake (i dont use it) + stopping & applying the handbrake & realeasing it doesnt make any difference ....still squeak----squeak...
Is this a common thing?
Any ideas as to what it could be?
..is this pending disaster?
Trying to get to a dealers but most are booked solid just now... BREXIT - done properly.

See if the hub is not. That would be the EPB. Otherwise a stone stuck between the disc and the disc guard. Try reversing a few times. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Mine was doing the same going up & down from North York's just before I was heading down to Devon.
Had to strip out rear pads and apply copper slip to the back of the pads & free off a stiff caliper as it was Sunday hence no dealer availability. Just come back from a service too!!
