Are we talking about a botched vasectomy job here? The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Ouch!
It sounds like they've replaced like-for-like.

Why would you have to pay if the older one's are not upto the job. That would be asking you to pay for a fix to a sub standard component which is not upto the job rather than an upgrade.
They must still be under the warranty from the last replacement. Regardless of what they say even if they are replaced in the last month of the vehicle warranty you still get at decent length of warranty on the replacement part.
This is not aimed at the Large One of course, but at Land Rover
Since the new ball joints are an eye watering £125 each i'm sure he will try that routeTLO has left the building.......

Do we have a part no. on the new ball joints?“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

They are on very restricted release from LR (and only available through the standard warranty route...not, a parts purchase...sorry )
They seem to be coming already fitted to the complete lower arms also.....TLO has left the building.......

The new ones are 35mm in diameter instead of 32mm
also the pin with articulate 21degrees instead of 19degrees...
you can tell the difference between the 2 by a very slight chamfer on the outter rim of the machined part of the jointTLO has left the building.......

Car drives differently now, much more direct steering end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......
What are the symptoms? I've recently noticed a clunking noise at the passenger front. On road, all seems fine.2006 D3 Tonga Green
