Suspenion Amber Red
Hi All,
I just bought a 2006 LR3 HSE, the car had a problem which was the every time im braking at a stop in the last second the car will pull to the right side, and on the highway the car will keep drifting to the right, i took it to the dealer in ottawa, they changed the ball joint and somestuff in the front end, the car came back to me, pulling to the left now, still drifting to the right on the high way and worst of all i have my suspension fault on and the car does not go up or down anymore??? Im going back to the dealer this monday as it is easter holiday, any help please.

Not usually replying to forum questions, enough hobby mechanics on here to fill a boat, but Jason and the Argos is on, the suspension fault is die to a faulty sensor. The connection is pervious to water and the individual pins susceptable to corrosion. This results in a restricted voltage. Normally the current is 5 volts. It could now be as low as 0.5 volts. The suspension works by activating the height lever. This lever adjusts the height by determining the voltage. When one sensor plays up the ECU hasn't a clue what's happening, so lowers the suspension and deactivated the switch. This turns on your warning light. A sensor is easy and quick to replace.

Don't forget to tell your dealer about the forum, they might learn something new I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

If you look at a wheel, lets say the front ones, when straight, at 1 o'clock position, just at the top of the wheel, you will see a small plastic arm, an inch or so long. that is part of the part that needs replaced. What you don't normally see is the electrical connector which form part of that assey. You can hold the whole lot in the palm of your hand.
Get the dealer to put the vehicle on the computer. There is a prog that shows the suspension readings. It consists of 4 charts, one below the next, one for each wheel. The electrical readings will show as a thin pencil like line, all 4 lines should be reading the same in line. If one is faulty, you will see the pencil line has now transformed into something like a thick marker pen about half an inch wide.
