Have you had any software updates on the car recently . I was talking to someone yesterday who had the same problem. In the end it was just not holding the buttons for long enoughG4 Gone ...but not forgotten
Not for a while, but I just loaded the new nav disk which upgraded the nav software.
I'll try some different combinations. I hold the invisible button for three or so serconds and then have held the left hard button for up to 40 with no results.
I might try and hold the invisible button longer.Have a nice day!

Just updated a Sat nav unit with the very latest sat nav disk and all infotainment related ECU's with the latest flash files, got it to go, so it definitely still works, but it is a bit fiddly, more of a knack than anything. one minute it did not seem to work, the next it was first time every time. I dont think holding it longer than needed hurts so try giving it a good 10 seconds each. A sign you pressed on the TS long enough in the right place is that it does not go into the nav menu when you press that button.
you could also try swearing at it or sticking your tongue out further as you wrestle with it.

I just updated the sat-nav on mine with the latest disk. Tried the diag access and I find that all I need to do is to touch and hold the "secret" button then after about 5 seconds the PIN entry box pops up, no need to press the hard button.Clive
It's changed to 5 sec on the secret buttom, then 5 sec on the hard button. But, I also have to have a pause of about 1 sec between the two. If the pause is too short or too long, it doesn't work.Have a nice day!
